Pool treatment is essential to keep the quality of the water and the pool. It is done in two ways: manual treatment or automatic treatment.

Manual treatment: when you take matters into your own hands!

Manual pool treatment makes it easy to maintain water quality. Disinfection must be done every week to avoid the risk of milky water, cloudy water or green water.

Regular manual treatment and manual shock treatment

The manual treatment of your pool is carried out regularly or in a shock treatment using various elements such as bromine, active oxygen or chlorine in sufficient quantities. Treatment is essential throughout the summer season to keep the water clean and clear. Chlorine-free treatment is more suitable for small pools and pools with a high number of bathers, as it does not cause pain to the eyes and skin of the bathers. As for bromine, its heat-tolerant quality makes it suitable for indoor and warm water pools. The bromine treatment prevents the water from turning green.

Manual treatment: the different constraints

While manual processing is effective, over time it can be complicated. Indeed, its frequency of use every week is one thing, but on the other hand, there are also the different water treatment parameters to be taken into serious consideration: pH, Stabilizer, Disinfection, Alkalinity, etc. The use of a complete equipment such as a test kit is essential in order to make the chemical treatment effective.

Another constraint: if the pool owner is absent, manual treatment requires the intervention of another person to do the work. In short, this type of treatment can turn into a real problem and it is preferable to turn to automatic treatment, especially when there is a large volume of water to be treated. Let's leave the manual treatment to above ground pools.

Automatic pool treatment: the machines do the work for you

The automatic treatment depends on several criteria that you will have to use: automatic chlorine treatment, salt water chlorinator, UV treatment, automatic pH regulator, etc. These elements allow you to control and self-regulate the chemical aspect of the water for a simple but effective treatment. Without the slightest effort, you can enjoy your clean water all summer long because the devices do the work for you. Underground and large swimming pools regularly use this type of treatment. It should be noted that wintering the pool does not allow the use of devices used in automatic treatment, unless it is an active wintering that will not require the pool's filtration system to be shut down.
